In March 2018, A Night with Buddha brought together Afghan, Swedish, and Syrian artists in Karlstad to celebrate resilience and cultural heritage.

The evening featured Asad Buda’s thought-provoking talk, Rethinking Bamiyan's Cultural Genocide. (En Symbol För Återvändande) A Symbol of Return by Khozama Rasheed and Carina Ekman shared her piece, Jag Lämnade Mitt Hem Med Två Barn och En Resväska, reflecting on migration’s challenges.

Monirah Hashemi captivated the audience with Salsaal and ShahMaama and the lively Pishpo Dance, while Hamid Sakhizada’s soulful dambura and songs brought the night to a heartfelt close.
