Since 2017, A Night with Buddha has been an annual event in Harstad, Norway. After co-founder Maryam Sharifi relocated to Harstad in 2016, she aimed to continue and establish the platform locally.

The festival in Harstad offers a diverse program that includes discussions, art workshops, film screenings, Afghan cuisine, and music concerts. For instance, in March 2019, the event featured performances by musicians and activists such as Hamid Sakhizada, Marthe Valle, Mikal Lundemo, and Naïd Mubalegh.

Through these multifaceted activities, A Night with Buddha in Harstad fosters cultural exchange and dialogue, honoring Afghan heritage while promoting artistic expression and community engagement.
